Rape Crisis Support

Family Matters is Kent's leading rape crisis service.

ISVA Support
We provide Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (see ISVA page) to support rape and sexual assault victims to come to terms with the aftermath of their assault. This includes helping them through the Criminal Justice System from report to court and beyond.

Therapy Support
Our therapy service is geared to support rape victims as well as those who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and last year we saw no fewer than 179 rape victims - a quarter of whom were aged 12 to 16!

Helpline Support
Our helpline is open during most office hours staffed by volunteers a message can be left for a call back

Uniquely, our therapy and support is provided either at the HQ in Gravesend or, through a series of anonymous by-the-hour rented venues across Kent and SE London.

Women only spaces are available at some venues and the HQ

Family Matters encourages referrals from all sources including individuals.
