Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Service

Hi, my name is Danielle and I am the Adult Independent Sexual Violence Advisor based at Family Matters.

Working with women and men in the NW Kent and Medway area who have suffered from any form of sexual violence, my role is to offer a wide variety of support and advice, both practical and emotional.

Dealing with an act of sexual violence, as well as its short term and long term effects, can be an overwhelming, confusing, and devastating time. You may need someone who can help you work out what you need and how to get it, whether you have reported your assault to police or not. That is what I'm here for. All enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.

There are lots of ways I can help, which will enable you not only to come to terms with what has happened, but to move forward with your life; from helping you contact the police, health authorities, family support, and counselling, to advice on criminal justice procedures, and referring you to the Family Matters Rape Therapy Programme.
