Our funding

Family Matters obtains its funding from a number of sources; statutory grants, charitable foundations, and fund raising. The Charity is solely dependent upon these funds for its existence and much of the funding is ‘restricted' in that it can only be used for the activity for which it is intended.

We have deliberately pursued a policy of not being reliant on a single source of funding for our existence as this can easily become a threat to security and operational independence. Instead we seek funding from as many sources as we can find time to canvass. Successful fund raising is vital to the charity's existence and continued growth.

If you feel you could help with fundraising in any way or you have innovative ideas the Operations Director would be more than happy to hear from you. Sponsored trips such as walking the Great Wall of China, parachute jumping or Trekking the Sahara can be exciting and fun ways of raising funds for Family Matters.
